Below are pictures from the quilt retreat that Little Timber Quilts & Candy puts on every spring and fall. We do it up in the Absorokee-Beartooth Mountains on the Boulder river...and this year you wouldn't know it was spring: we had about 10 inches of snow by Friday night. But quilter's don't care about the weather! These are some (I didn't get good pictures of everything) of the wonderful projects people worked on. Check my blog to see what I worked on all weekend :).

Fran Hurwitz's beautiful Mariner's compass. This was Fran's first retreat. And just so you all know--this is NOT paper-pieced. Way to go Fran!
Mary Kay Gartland finished this sampler that she started some years ago. The setting was very beautiful and made the twelve, 12" blocks into 17" blocks, so the quilt was a good size. Look at all those beautiful batiks!
Not the best picture, but it was a great quilt. Susan Quinlan was racing to finish this batik bear quilt before the end of the weekend, hoping to get a new sofa to go along with it :) Susan came with her sister and mother. Beautiful quilt, Susan!
This is Barb Teachout's jelly roll quilt out of "On-A-Roll". She came with it cut, and left with it finished (Barb and I were the late-nighters 1:00AM was the earliest we tore ourselves away from our projects :) Barb is a very driven quilter, and she finishes just about everything she starts. Great job, Barb!
